Q: What is ATOM?
A: ATOM is the world's only Museum dedicated to the preservation and public display of vintage aluminum trees.
Q: What is a vintage aluminum tree?
A: Millions of aluminum trees were produced by over 40 companies in the the USA, Canada, and Australia. They were made from the late 1950's to the early 1970's.
Q: Are all the trees in ATOM vintage trees?
A: The vast majority of the trees in our Museum are vintage trees. You can identify vintage trees by noting that the individual branches insert into holes in the center pole ("trunk"). We "genetically engineer" some trees (the aluminum palm trees, the aluminum bonsai) for fun. We include a few new metal trees for visitors to compare to the old vintage trees.
Q: Does the Museum sell trees?
A: No, our trees are part of a permanent collection intended for enjoyment by the public. None are for sell. You may, however, purchase aluminum tree seeds (to try growing your own. Results may vary), or aluminum tree potpourri for that vintage aluminum tree scent in your home or automobile. These items are available in the Musuem.
